Professor Gao Haibo from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Harbin Institute of Technology presided over the research on the mobile system of the "Zhu Rong" rover. In view of the soft and rugged terrain on the surface of Mars, the rover is easy to slip and sink in the soft sand, and the traction is insufficient.
The mobile system structure of active and passive hybrid probe vehicle with crawling escape function is jointly proposed. The rover with this configuration has unique functions, such as crawling escape, crawling climbing, car lifting and bottom protection, active suspension folding and unfolding, wheel lifting and so on, and has strong escape ability and climbing ability.
Professor Jiang Shengyuan from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Harbin Institute of Technology presided over the research on the transfer ramp mechanism of the "Zhu Rong" rover.
