Recalling the past, the years are like wisps of smoke, awakening misty memories.
I remember my childhood in a closed world. Our kindergarten is a garden house. Today, I know that it is a building of the Republic of China and has become a cultural heritage. Our school is located at the foot of Purple Mountain. Two-story buildings are scattered and orderly at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain. There are dormitories upstairs, classrooms downstairs, and living facilities such as a large playground, auditorium, laundry room and root canal. Now I know that it was a spy training base during the Republic of China. No wonder there is a special stone carving in front of each building to record the construction time.
I remember groups of children and teenagers studying, playing, jumping and growing up carefree in that environment. I remember a brand-new big red imported car carrying these children back and forth between the Ministry of National Defense and the special training base during the Republic of China. I can only go home once every two weeks. These children have no idea what happened in society at that time. They only know that they should study hard and make progress every day. They also know that they should study hard and defend their national defense.
I remember when I was in the third grade, my parents and brothers went back to my mother's hometown and also went to their old army. It seems that I saw many people begging on the roadside in Zhengzhou. I think it's strange. Why do so many people can't even eat? What happened? Why don't we feel anything? I remember that my uncle in rural Hebei lived in our house at that time, and my mother complained that she invited him to dinner at Dasanyuan Hotel, and spent more than 200 yuan, but she still didn't have enough to eat. You know, at that time, a person's normal food expenses were less than 10 yuan per month. This is equivalent to the fact that we haven't had enough to eat for 20,000 yuan. At that time, this was the living and learning environment created by our parents, but we didn't know how to cherish it. What we are scolded most is "I don't know how to be blessed when I should be blessed"

As the situation changes, it is urgent to go to the border to fight the Gobi alone.
1966, my father was transferred to the fifth agricultural division of Xinjiang Military Region Production and Construction Corps in Bortala. Dad went alone, and mom and we both stayed in Nanjing.
I remember before my father left for Xinjiang, he went back to his hometown in Gaocheng, Hebei Province, visited my uncle, the only relative in his hometown, and said goodbye to the villagers in his hometown. It took three days and four nights to get to Urumqi by train. I went back to my hometown that time and caught up with the Xingtai earthquake in Hebei.
At that time, the storm of the Cultural Revolution quickly swept the land of China. Xiong Haizi, who was locked up in the compound, was an eye-opener. They have seen the world through wind and rain, and they have been caught in the torrent under the banner of rebellion. It was that turbulent era that made these children in honeypots enter the big classroom of society.
Looking at the image of my father standing in the Gobi Snow Mountain, I seem to see the confrontation between my father's defense zone and the Soviet Union at the border port of Alashankou. Looking at the image of my father standing on the Gobi desert, it seems that I can see him discussing with water conservancy experts the scene of splitting mountains and digging holes to divert water from Sailimu Lake to irrigate Bole. We often see mothers worried about their husbands who have been transferred to work in Xinjiang.
Later, my brother and I also went to my father to join the army. Later, my sister also went to work in Xinjiang, and then returned to Nanjing with my retired father. My brother and I finally got rid of my father's protection and entered the society. We joined the army, retired, worked, studied, got married and had children, and worked hard in the sea until we retired.
After working hard in the northwest for more than ten years, my father retired and returned to Nanjing. After several years of tossing and turning, the family returned to Nanjing to get together. Only I worked and studied in Nanjing for several years and was assigned to Beijing.
Dad's life in his later years was nothing more than pruning the flowers and plants in the yard, going out for a walk, and sometimes getting together with old comrades. I also travel abroad almost every year. However, we can see that with the passage of time, the physical strength is declining, the physical disability left over from the war is getting heavier and heavier, and the scope of outdoor activities is getting smaller and smaller. Finally, one day, my father coughed in the hospital, and when he didn't come up in one breath, people passed. Diagnosed by the hospital, the lung has been fibrotic.
Dad left without leaving a word. He is willing to be a cow and work hard all his life.
Dad left without leaving a military medal. His combat experience is recorded in the military history of the Third Army of China People's Liberation Army.
Dad has been gone for twenty years, and his voice, face and smile are still there, and he will stay in my heart forever!
Uncle and aunt, they are the only relatives in Dad's hometown.

Go to Xinjiang as a soldier.
At the party in Xinjiang, Comrade Yu was in the back row. During the Cultural Revolution, he served as the deputy director of the Propaganda Department of jiangsu provincial party committee. My sister was working in Xinjiang to help take care of my father's life.
On the left is Comrade Yu's uncle, his father's old comrade-in-arms, and the military training minister of Nanjing Military Region. Our two families have the most contact.
All three of us were brought up by grandma, and she also cooked Sichuan food well.
My parents are in the first row, followed by my uncle, my second uncle and my third uncle, all soldiers.
Mom and dad and my second aunt and uncle Fu Peilian are comrades-in-arms and brothers-in-law.
Mom and Dad, Uncle Zhenhai Sun and Aunt Li Jinting, my brother-in-law Sun Ning's mom and dad, are in-laws of comrades-in-arms and children.
My parents are in Shanghai.
Dad retired.
On the day of retirement, I will be reunited with my comrades in the old army.
Have children and grandchildren at home
