In recent years, under the background of weak external demand and great downward pressure on foreign trade import and export, cross-border electronic commerce has sprung up suddenly and is becoming a new growth point to stimulate China's foreign trade development. However, many people in the industry believe that the contradiction between the growing demand for e-commerce and the lack of talents has greatly restricted the further development of cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
"The launch of the' Hundred Cities and Thousand Schools' program aims to help foreign trade enterprises cultivate more relevant talents and seize the opportunities for foreign trade development in the era of cross-border e-commerce." Fang Jie, general manager of northern region of Alibaba's international business department, said.
According to him, college students who participate in this program can watch nearly 100 professional courses provided on the learning platform of Alibaba Training House () at any time, and learn the latest information of various industries brought by experts and experts in the industry from time to time through webcasting; After systematic study, students will have the opportunity to practice cross-border e-commerce business operations on the simulation platform provided by Alibaba, and test their knowledge through the online examination platform to obtain relevant certification; In order to help students find jobs and start businesses, the platform will also organize double elections to connect enterprises and talents.
Fang Jie said that this activity is planned to take three years to train 1 10,000 junior foreign trade e-commerce talents with basic knowledge of foreign trade, basic operation ability of Ali platform and familiarity with credit guarantee system, and help more foreign trade enterprises to enter the e-commerce industry by promoting their employment in foreign trade enterprises, thus promoting the transformation from "Made in China" to "Created in China".
It is understood that about 20,000 students from nearly 100 universities across the country have signed up for this program. Fang Jie said that in addition to opening the registration four times in June this year, there will be two opportunities to sign up for this activity every month.
