Over the past XX years, under the correct leadership of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, under the specific guidance and care of the senior committee on aging, with the strong support of the township party committee and the government, and through the joint efforts of all members, we have adhered to the principles of "Party and government leading, social participation, universal care" and "people-oriented, serving the elderly" with Scientific Outlook on Development as the guide, being pragmatic and working hard, closely centering on the central work of the party committee and the government. Taking safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly as the core, strengthening the system construction as the guarantee, and promoting the construction of the service system for the elderly as the goal, we will actively carry out the activity of "striving for Excellence", do good deeds and do practical things for the majority of the elderly, strive to create an aging work pattern that is compatible with the aging population and coordinated with economic and social development, and promote the continuous development of aging work and undertakings in our hometown. Over the past year, we have mainly done the following work:

First, build a solid position and build a working platform.

Strengthening the construction of the position of aging work is the basis of doing a good job in aging work and the guarantee of promoting the development of the cause of aging. At the beginning of the year, with the great attention and strong support of the township party committee and government, the grassroots work, organizational construction and infrastructure construction for the aged in rural areas have been fundamentally improved, basically forming a "sound organizational network, supporting infrastructure, putting rules and regulations on the wall, and standardizing file arrangement". Specific measures are as follows: First, strengthen leadership. At the beginning of the year, according to the personnel changes of township leading cadres, the party committee and government timely adjusted the composition of the township committee on aging, with Feng Hanjin, deputy secretary of the township committee and head of the township, as honorary director of the township committee on aging, and Comrade Chen Guangyou, member of the township committee organization, as director, fully staffed. The second is to consolidate the position construction of township offices for the aged. In the first half of the year, the township party committee invested 1 10,000 yuan according to the needs of work, which consolidated and improved the supporting construction of office facilities for the elderly in the township and provided a comfortable working environment for the elderly. The third is to adjust and improve the organizational network of the elderly association. In May this year, with the strong support of the Municipal Calligraphers Association, Chendian Township Calligraphy and Painting Branch of Anlu City was established, and an exhibition of calligraphy and painting works of the elderly was held at the awarding ceremony. Fourth, the annual work plan was formulated, and various rules and regulations were established and improved. We have accomplished a planned work, a task, a responsibility and a goal. Fifth, pay close attention to the pilot construction of grassroots organizations of village elderly associations. In Huci Village, Tongxing Village and Huang Xiang Village, we have done a good job in the construction of workplaces for the elderly with high standards in accordance with the requirements of the organization and construction of grassroots associations for the elderly. This work has been fully affirmed by the leaders of Xiaogan Municipal Office for the Aged and Provincial Office for the Aged, and has been observed by the provincial and municipal on-site meetings and all the leaders attending the meeting.

Second, extensive publicity and education to create a social atmosphere.

Carrying forward the traditional virtues of respecting the elderly and strengthening the ideological consciousness of respecting, loving and helping the elderly in the whole society are important contents of governing the country by virtue. According to the gap in social understanding of aging work and the cause of aging, publicity is the focus of aging work, and efforts are made to create a good atmosphere of respecting, respecting, loving and helping the elderly in the town. First, give full play to the role of aging organizations and relevant departments, and widely publicize the spirit of documents and laws and regulations of the party and the state on aging work. The second is to make use of the favorable opportunity of major festivals to publicize widely, and vigorously publicize the preferential policies of the party and the state for the elderly by writing slogans, pulling banners, running wall newspapers and printing leaflets. Over the past year, * * * has written more than 65,438 slogans, pulled more than 20 banners, published 6 wall newspapers, and printed more than 500 publicity materials, further raising the awareness of aging work. The third is to use forums, reports and other forms to talk about the excellent situation of economic and social development and the bright future of the development of the cause of aging. Fourth, actively carry out publicity and education activities for young people and call on students to carry out the "Four Ones" activities in Chendian Middle School. It has further enhanced students' ideology and traditional virtues of respecting the elderly. Through the above publicity, people have further clarified the rights enjoyed by the elderly according to law and the obligations of families, society and units to the elderly, and created a good social atmosphere of caring for the elderly in life, comforting them spiritually and safeguarding their rights.

Third, establish a service concept and base on solid work.

Establish the concept of serving the elderly. This is the purpose of aging work. Over the past year, around doing good deeds and practical things for the elderly, we have done the following work: First, we have earnestly implemented preferential policies for the elderly, and coordinated relevant departments to implement preferential policies such as free bus ride and free registration for medical treatment for the elderly. The second is to conscientiously implement the payment of subsidies for the elderly. Third, a care and rescue system for empty nesters was established, and remote alarm equipment was installed for 65 elderly people in the township. Fourth, organize relevant departments, cadres and business owners in the township to give send warm activities to the elderly on the Double Ninth Festival. On the Double Ninth Festival, the township government and Huang Xiang Village held tea parties for the elderly respectively. For example, villagers in the village will now meet Mr. Yu, the boss of Anlu Fenghai Company, and give 13 old people 300 yuan's red envelopes at the tea party in the village. First, led by the township office for the aged, with the participation of the judiciary, women's federations and civil affairs departments, the Chendian Township Service Center for the Rights Protection of the Elderly was established. In order to expand the influence of aging work and enhance the awareness of aging work, we carried out the following activities in the past year. First, carry out the activity of "All ages should create a civilized village", strengthen the construction of the "five old" team, give full play to the advantages of "political prestige, experience and affection" of veteran cadres and old party member, and carry out the activity of "All ages should create a civilized village and help each other with fun". Third, make full use of important holidays, organize symposiums and reports for veteran cadres and old party member, and organize retired veteran cadres from rural organs to visit the development and changes of rural roads, water conservancy facilities and rural enterprises on the Double Ninth Festival. This year's "July 1st" Party Building Festival organized some veteran cadres to accompany the new party activists to the Zhao Peng Martyrs Monument to remember the revolutionary martyrs. Second, some cadres have insufficient understanding of the work and development of the cause of aging and need to be further improved. Third, the propaganda of aging work is not strong.
