Reflections on Watching the Movie Flying over Luding Bridge

I like watching movies very much. Just this semester, our school organized the whole class to watch several war stories films, such as On the 38th Parallel, Nanchang Uprising, Korean War, Five Strong Men of Langya Mountain and Flying over Luding Bridge, and educated all the students in patriotism. What impressed me the most was war stories's film Flying over Luding Bridge.

The brilliant image of the Red Army soldiers in this film left a deep impression on me. In particular, the soldiers of the Red Fourth Regiment fought to the death with the reinforcements of two enemy brigades in the dark night in order to grab the Luding Bridge. They braved the downpour and stepped on muddy water in the dark. Their determination to defeat the enemy made them forget hunger and fatigue. They left the two brigades reinforced by the enemy behind and arrived at Luding Bridge first, but they encountered many obstacles when crossing Luding Bridge. Facing the Luding Bridge with only 13 chains, the soldiers did not flinch. They each took a plank and braved the enemy's bullets to pave the way and bridge. When they were about to reach the other end of the bridge, the fierce enemy ignited a raging fire and stopped the Red Army from advancing. At this critical juncture, the head of the delegation and the political commissar shouted slogans: "Comrades, for the cause of the party, for the final victory, go!" . Hearing the shouts, the soldiers rushed through the raging fire like arrows, rushed into the city and launched a fierce struggle with the enemy. Finally, he won the Luding Bridge, defeated the enemy, won another decisive victory in the Long March of the Red Army, and went to the anti-Japanese front.

After the movie ended, my mind kept flashing the scene of Red Army soldiers flying over Luding Bridge. The glorious image of them who are not afraid of difficulties and obstacles, go forward bravely, and are not afraid of bloodshed and sacrifice is deeply imprinted in my mind and deeply inspires me. At the historical juncture of domestic troubles and foreign invasion, the decline of national fortune and national peril, the revolutionary ancestors took the rise and fall of the world as their own responsibility, stepped forward, joined the revolution, shed their blood and fought bloody battles, and created a brand-new new China. We should see that today's peace and happiness are hard-won by our revolutionary ancestors with their blood and lives. As children in the 2 1 century, living in a peaceful and happy new China, how can they serve the motherland without experiencing the hardships of the war years? Our teacher said in the ideological and moral class that "the two major themes in today's world are peace and development". As cross-century children, we should inherit and carry forward the glorious tradition of revolutionary ancestors, study hard and develop in an all-round way, lay a solid foundation for building the motherland in the future, make the motherland more prosperous and strong, and make the motherland invincible in the world, so as to comfort the revolutionary martyrs' spirit in heaven!
