Rong Yuan Temple, also known locally as Foye Cavern, is located at the back of Fengshan Needle Park in Jiaozuo, on the Green Mountain in the northwest of Dangyangyu Ancient Porcelain Kiln Site in Xiuwu County, the porcelain capital of Northern Song Dynasty, a national cultural relic protection unit. Lvjian Mountain is the remnant vein of South Taihang Mountain, with a unique geographical position.
The mountains and rivers in front of the temple are in the abdomen, backed by gold, facing the natural screen of Jiulian Mountain. Around Qinglong and Baihu, there are Suzaku and Xuanwu, and the mountain springs are cool and fierce, and tin can be obtained. Seventeen sweet springs have been offered by the guardian Tianlong, which is really a blessed land on earth. The sound of mountains and buildings is surrounded by the morning bell and the drums at dusk in this ancient temple, which adds a bit of charm to this blessed place on earth.
Rong Yuan Temple is one of the 893 temples founded by Buddha Tucheng, a Buddhist monk in the Western Jin Dynasty, and is praised as "the first Buddhist monk in the East" by the Buddhist community. It has a history of 1650 years. At present, with the support and advocacy of governments at all levels, Master Guo Jian became the abbot of Rong Yuan Temple in the early 1980s, and the restoration project of the temple began.
