Nan 'an has a long history. Since Zhang Jiuling dug Dayuling and built an ancient post road in Meiguan during the Kaiyuan period of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Nan 'an has gradually become a channel for the spread of excellent culture and famous specialties in the Central Plains from south to north, and there has been a grand scene of "merchants are like clouds, goods are like rain, and there is no cold soil in winter". In Song Dynasty, Su Shi once praised Nan 'an for "traveling thousands of miles south of the Yangtze River and coming to the first state of Yuling", and Tang Xianzu left a huge legacy here in Ming Dynasty. The Jiayou Temple Tower in Shuikou Temple was built in the fifth year of Huang Kai (585) and rebuilt in the fourth year of Song Jiayou (1506), and was approved by Jiangxi Provincial People's Committee as the first batch of cultural relics protection units in Jiangxi Province in July 2006 1957. Dongshan Zhenjue Temple was founded in the Song Dynasty, rebuilt in Ding Jian, Thailand (1324) and expanded in Yongle, Ming Dynasty (1403). In 2005, tourist facilities such as Meishan scenic highway, Ming and Qing antique city and tourist center were built, and a boutique Meiyuan scenic spot was newly developed. An eco-tourism industry integrating "red, ancient and green" has begun to take shape.
