The 7th China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo, held from April 20th to May 20th, 2006, took the theme of "Green Science and Technology Future" and the purpose of serving "agriculture, countryside and farmers", aiming at building a new socialist countryside and promoting the greater development of rural areas, agriculture and vegetable industry. Relying on Shouguang Vegetable High-tech Demonstration Park, this Expo has a total exhibition area of 6.5438+0.5 million square meters, eight exhibition halls, biological tissue culture centers and more than 654.38+0.000 greenhouse planting demonstration areas, with an indoor exhibition area of 70,000 square meters. The exhibition adopts a unique mode of combining vegetable, fruit tree and flower planting with agricultural sightseeing, garden attractions and merchants' booths. Exhibition scope: seeds and seedlings, fertilizers and pesticides, agricultural machinery and plastic film, gardening facilities, greenhouse materials, vegetables and fruits, edible fungi, food and fruits, flowers, etc. In order to fully demonstrate the scale and level of Shouguang's modern agriculture, Syngenta Seed Company and other 15 units were selected as sub-exhibition areas of the Food Expo from domestic and foreign agricultural research bases, agricultural sightseeing parks and agriculture-related enterprises in this city. During the Expo, the seminar of Qi and Shu, economic and trade negotiation and signing, agricultural sightseeing and the third vegetable culture and art festival were held. Food Expo has become an agricultural grand meeting integrating exhibition, technology promotion, business cooperation, theoretical discussion, cultural exchange and sightseeing.
