Yan Fu (1854 65438+1October 8th-192165438+1October 27th), male, formerly known as Ling, later renamed Fu, a few, Han nationality.

Yan Fu's translation criteria of "faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance" had a far-reaching impact on later translation work. He was an influential bourgeois enlightenment thinker in the late Qing Dynasty and one of the "advanced China people" who sought truth from western countries in China's modern history.

Yan Fu's arrival brought modern western naval management thought and teaching theory to Beiyang Naval Academy. Because of his conscientious and responsible work, well-managed education and teaching, and Yan Fu's description of Li Hongzhang, he was promoted from general manager (provost) to general manager (principal).
