Locust disasters occurred from time to time in ancient times, often related to climate drought. So far, mankind has not been able to completely eradicate this situation. So, how did our ancestors exterminate locusts in ancient times? I'll introduce it to you today.
In ancient times, there were four main ways to eliminate locusts.
The first type, flapping. The ancients first gathered locusts in a small area with white cloth and then beat them with sticks.
Second, the burning method. This method can only be used at night, and people invented the burning method by using the characteristics of locusts gathering in the light.
Third, the burial method. First, people dug a pit in advance, then put bait in it, and then quickly buried it with soil when a large number of locusts arrived.
Fourth, eliminate larvae. Find the breeding base of locusts and destroy all the larvae.
These methods are all the experiences summed up by the ancients in practice. In modern times, these methods are no longer used after the emergence of drugs.
