Tianma village 1
The citrus orchard in Tianma mainly surrounds the birds of paradise, taking advantage of its geographical location and suitable temperature and soil. The original ecological environment is most reasonably preserved here, which is very beneficial to the growth of citrus trees. It was also rated as the most beautiful ecological village in Guangdong Province. The prototype of Bird's Paradise written by the famous writer Mr. Ba Jin comes from this and shows the unique ecological environment of Tianma. Here we take Xinhui Chenpi and Laoshu Chenpi as examples to briefly explain.
Xinhui Chenpi was collected from the core producing area of Xinhui Gastrodia elata, and then washed, peeled (using the traditional peeling method of 700 years), dried in the shade, turned over, dried in the sun, stored, turned over and scoured.
The dried tangerine peel of the old tree comes from the branches of the mother tree of the wild old tree in the deep mountains. The nutrition absorbed by old citrus reticulata can be concentrated on citrus fruits. On the basis of the original ecological stocking in the deep mountains, the orange peel after a series of processes, such as picking, is exposed to natural sunlight and has a long orange rhyme. The two are smooth and refreshing when soaked together.
2. Meijiang village
Meijiang, Xinhui has been planting oranges for more than 300 years. Meijiang village is located in the south of the city, bordering Tianma village, and is also a famous producing area of tea orange in Xinhui. It's at the junction of the estuary. At high tide, the sea water will flood the low-lying places, and the salt and fresh water are mixed, so the soil is fertile. The citrus fruits produced have bright luster and refreshing taste.
3. Chakeng Village
Many people know that this is the former residence of Liang Qichao, a famous revolutionary and writer in modern China, but they seldom pay attention to this place as one of the core producing areas of Xinhui orange. More than 700 years ago, tea swindlers planted a large number of Xinhui oranges and operated Xinhui Chenpi. The tangerine peel here is mellow, slightly lighter than gastrodia elata. The entrance is light in sweetness, slightly bitter in sweetness, and basically has no sense of paralysis.
4. dongjiacun
Historically, it is a famous Xinhui citrus planting base and a traditional round-branch citrus producing area. Xinhui orange, as a beautiful fruit in Lingnan in Qing Dynasty, was once regarded as a tribute by the imperial court.
However, due to the development and construction of Xinhui in 10, most of the land for growing citrus in dongjiacun has been expropriated and developed, and there are few citrus trees that can produce the best dried tangerine peel, which leads to the scarcity of citrus in dongjiacun.
5. Jia Qian village
Adjacent to dongjiacun and Huicheng, Jiaqian Village is also a famous citrus planting base in Xinhui in history, with the same climate, soil and water as Dongjia Citrus. However, at present, the citrus planting resources in Xinhui, especially the water and soil resources in the core area, are constantly being squeezed. Jia Qian village has become an urban area, and there is little land left in the village. At present, the number of Xinhui oranges planted is basically gone.
