Mangkang Yanjing, known as "tea card" by Naxi people, is a post station on the ancient tea-horse road. On the hilly slopes on the east and west sides of Lancang River, there is a salt field on the roof of every Naxi family. In the history of 1300 years, the unique red salt was crystallized from the brine in the wells along the Lancang River through simple traditional handicrafts, scorching sun baking and time precipitation.
On the most beautiful national highway 2 14 in China, if you want to feel the long time, the passing of years and the short life, then come to Mangkang, come to the salt well and shuttle under the salt cone. Perhaps this is the crystallization of ten years, a hundred years and a thousand years.
