Huzhou is called Lake for short and Wucheng and Xing Wu in ancient times. Located in the north of Zhejiang Province. Huzhou is a national historical and cultural city, a famous land of plenty, a member of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, a famous hometown of sericulture, one of the birthplaces of world silk civilization, and one of the four silk capitals in China. History:
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhejiang No.1 Special Zone, Jiaxing Special Zone and Jiaxing District were successively established, and the administrative office was located in Huzhou for a long time. 1949, located in Xing Wu, Xing Wu County, 1950, changed to "Huzhou City".
1962 revoked, 1970 resumed. 198 1 year, Xing Wu county was revoked and merged into Huzhou city. 1983, 10 in June, Huzhou and Jiaxing were established. Huzhou now governs two municipal districts, Xing Wu and Nanxun, and three counties, Changxing, Deqing and Anji.
