Zhang Jiuling (678 -740), a naturalist, was born in Qujiang, Shaozhou (now Shaoguan West, Guangdong), and was a prime minister and poet in the Tang Xuanzong period in China. Zhang Jiuling is a scholar and a school bookkeeper. Later, he went to the Department to supplement Zuo. In the 11th year of Kaiyuan (723), he was a calligrapher in China. After saying goodbye, Zhang Jiuling moved out.
In the 19th year of Kaiyuan (73 1), he was called a secretary, a supervisor of three products, and a bachelor of Jixian College, and later moved to Ren Zhongshu as an assistant minister. In the 21st year of Kaiyuan (733), Assistant Minister Zhongshu became Prime Minister. In the 24th year of Kaiyuan (736), Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty moved Zhang Jiuling to be the right prime minister of Shangshu, and only knew about politics. Later, because Zhang Jiuling angered Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, he was demoted to Jingzhou Secretariat. He died in the 28th year of Kaiyuan (740).
Zhang Jiuling was an important poet in the early Tang Dynasty, with quick thinking, elegant writing and poetic detachment. His five-character ancient poems have a high position and great influence in the development of Tang poetry.
