Linping District of Hangzhou is not entirely rural. Located in the center of the Yangtze River Delta and the northeast gateway of Hangzhou, it is at the strategic intersection of G60 Science and Technology Corridor and Hangzhou East Zhizao Corridor. Linping District covers an area of 286 square kilometers, governs 7 streets, 1 town, and has a permanent population of 1 19000 people. These characteristics show that Linping District is a region with an important strategic position, and it is also an important node for Hangzhou to integrate into the Yangtze River Delta and Shanghai. Although some descriptions call Linping a "remote rural area", from the perspective of geographical location and urbanization process, Linping District is already an urban area with a certain scale and function.
