Introduction to the Emergency Rescue Team of the Armed Police Force The Emergency Rescue Team of the Armed Police Force was jointly established by the Seismological Bureau of China and the Armed Police Force in accordance with the spirit of the State Council's instructions and the requirements of the People's Armed Police Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), relying on the chemical detachments of the armed police corps. At present, there are 33 teams in China. The Seismological Bureau of China and the Armed Police Headquarters established a joint meeting system to strengthen the organization and leadership of rescue work and team building. Seismological bureaus of all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) should establish corresponding joint liaison mechanisms with local armed police corps to organize and coordinate rescue work.

The emergency rescue team of the Armed Police Force is mainly responsible for the emergency rescue of natural disasters and other accidents such as floods, earthquakes, mudslides and landslides, as well as other emergency rescue tasks such as searching and rescuing trapped (killed) people, repairing roads (bridges and tunnels) and transferring materials. It has played an important role in many times of rescue and disaster relief, and is an emergency rescue team with high degree of specialization and strong mobility.
