Brief introduction of Yingshang County
Yingshang County, the escrow county of Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located at the intersection of Huaihe River and Heying, with an area of 65,438 0.859 square kilometers, 65,438 0.03 million hectares of cultivated land and a population of 65,438 0.72 million. It has jurisdiction over 30 townships and 348 villages (communities), and has won honors such as national ecological demonstration zone, national advanced county of grain production, national advanced county of water conservancy construction and management, and national advanced county of increasing farmers' income. Yingshang has a long history and rich culture. As early as 3000 years ago in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the city was established. The Zhou Dynasty was called "Shen Yi" and the Qin Dynasty was called "Shen Xian". In the second year of the great cause of Sui Dynasty (AD 606), it was renamed "Yingshang", which has a history of 1400 years. Our country is rich in cultural heritage. Guan Zhong and Bao in the Spring and Autumn Period, Gan Luo in the Warring States Period, contemporary famous scholars and literary experts, academicians of the two academies, Dai Houying and Shi Yongxin, abbot of Shaolin Temple, are all outstanding representatives of Yingshang people. Our county is also the birthplace of ancient painting lantern art and drama promotion. Known as "Oriental Ballet", Yingshang Ancient Painting Lantern and Yingshang Tui Opera were rated as national and provincial intangible cultural heritage respectively.
