Note: This description is based on windowsXP operating system, and the process of other operating systems is slightly different. Please pay attention!
1, 1. Install the data cable driver according to the USB Installation Guide.
2, 2, use data lines. Insert the data cable into the USB interface of the computer, and windows will recognize it as a serial port. Double-click the system in the control panel to open the system properties window. Click "Hardware", then click "Device Manager" and look at the column of "Ports (COM and LPT)", and you will find "Productive USB to Serial Port (COMX)". X is generally 3 ~ 10, here is COM3. When the data cable is plugged into different USB ports, the result will be different. Please remember this virtual COM slogan, which will be used later when setting various attributes.
3. Install a modem on the PC.
Click the "Start" menu, enter the "Control Panel" and select the "Telephone and Modem" option. The Phone and Modem Options window appears.
The installation process is as follows:
Click the "Add" button in the "Modem" menu.
B, b, check the "Don't detect my modem" option and select "Next";
C, c, select "Have Disk", select "emp_NT.inf" file to install its driver, select "Ericsson mobile platform serial modem" and select "Next";
D, d, select the corresponding port (COM3 in this case) and select "Next";
E select "finish" to complete the installation of the modem.
F, f, click "Properties" to enter the modem properties window;
G, g, enter the "Advanced" menu and click "Change Default Preferences";
H, h, select "None" as the "Data Flow Control" option, and then click "OK" to complete the modem installation.
5 establish PDP context:
A, a, enter the PC start menu, program-> Attachment-> Communication-> To establish a connection in HyperTerminal, please enter a connection name (1 here), then select the corresponding COM port (COM3 here) and press OK;
B, set the corresponding COM value as follows, and press "OK";
C, input AT+CGDCONT= 1, "IP" and "cmnet" d, return to "OK" and disconnect, and exit directly without saving.
6. Establish a connection on the PC side:
Start-> Select "New Connection" in Network and Dial-up Connections, and the process is as follows:
A, choose "next";
B, select "Dial-up Internet Access" and "Next";
C, select dial-up connection as shown in the figure, and select "Next";
D, enter the dialing name GPRS as shown in the figure, and select "Next";
E. Enter the number "*99#" and select "Next";
G. select "finish" to complete the new connection process.
7.7. Dialing Settings:
A, double-click to open the desktop GPRS dialing shortcut, change the properties, and click the "Content" button to enter;
B, click the "Properties" button; Open GPRS properties; Click the Configure button.
C delete the option "enable hardware flow control" and press "ok" to confirm.
8. Select "Dial" and you will be prompted to connect successfully after verification.
9. After the connection is successful, an icon will appear in the lower right corner. Double-click to view connection properties.
At this point, the whole connection setting is completed. Open IE and enter the corresponding URL in the address bar to surf the Internet.
