World No Tobacco Day originated from the 6th International Conference on Smoking and Health 1987+0 1 held by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Tokyo, Japan in June. It was suggested at the conference that the festival should be held on April 7th every year, starting from June 1988, but starting from June 1989, the World No Tobacco Day will be changed to annual.
On May 3, 2005, the 28th World No Tobacco Day was initiated by the World Health Organization. The theme of this World No Tobacco Day is "Stop the illegal trade of tobacco products"; As the biggest tobacco victim in the world, there is a significant gap between China and other advanced countries in the actions and effects of realizing the vision of smoke-free human beings.
The fundamental reason lies in the lack of a deep and systematic understanding of the fact that nicotine is a drug, nicotine is addictive, nicotine is contained in cigarettes, and smoking is not good.
