Industrial enterprises are social and economic organizations aiming at profit. Therefore, profit maximization has become the basic goal of enterprises. In today's rapidly changing market, lean production adopts flexible production organization forms, adjusts production in time and quickly according to changes in market demand, and relies on strict and meticulous management to achieve enterprise profit targets by "completely eliminating waste" and preventing overproduction. In order to achieve this basic goal, lean production must be able to achieve the following three sub-goals: zero inventory, high flexibility (multiple varieties) and no defects.
(B) the sub-goals of lean production
1. Zero inventory
Inventory is the "root of all evils", which proves that the design of production system is unreasonable, the production process is uncoordinated and the production operation is not smooth. The slogan of "marching towards zero inventory" is put forward. Therefore, "zero inventory" has become one of the main goals pursued by lean production.
2. High flexibility
High flexibility refers to the flexible production organization form of an enterprise, which can meet the requirements of diversified market demand, organize multi-variety production in time and improve the competitiveness of the enterprise. Facing the new problem of changeable market, lean production mode must aim at high flexibility and realize the unity of high flexibility and high productivity. In order to achieve the unity of flexibility and productivity, lean production must show a high degree of flexibility in organization, labor and equipment.
3. No accidents
For high-quality products with zero defects, the goal of lean production is to eliminate all kinds of reasons that cause unqualified products, and to require every working procedure in the processing process to reach the best level and pursue zero defects.
