Zhucheng is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province and is managed by Weifang City. It is named after the legend that Shun Di was born in fengcun, north of the city, also known as Longcheng. Located in the southeast of Shandong Peninsula, at the junction of Taiyi Mountain and Jiaowei Plain, it borders Jiaozhou and Huangdao in the east, Wulian in the south, Juxian and Yishui in the west and Anqiu and Gaomi in the north, with a total area of 2 182.7 square kilometers.
The well-documented civilization history of Zhucheng can be traced back to 7000 years ago. It is recognized by the academic circles as an important birthplace of ancient Dongyi culture, and is known as the "Capital of Shun Di" and the birthplace of Shun culture. During the pre-Qin and Han dynasties, it once became the center of cultural exchange between the North and the South.
Zhucheng is a regional central city of Shandong Peninsula, one of the top 100 counties' basic competitiveness in the country, and a national comprehensive experimental zone for new urbanization. Geomorphology of Zhucheng city
Zhucheng terrain is high in the south and low in the north. In the south of Zhucheng, there are undulating hills with valley basins in between. The central part is a wavy plain to the north, and the edge is low mountains and gentle hills. The mountainous area is 657.083 square kilometers, accounting for 30. 1% of the city's total area, mostly brown soil. The hills are 493.358 square kilometers, accounting for 22.6%, mostly cinnamon soil and brown soil.
The plain is 704.02 square kilometers, accounting for 32.25%, and most of it is tidal soil. The depression and water surface are 328.5 square kilometers, accounting for 15.05%. The altitude is between 35.32 meters and 679 meters. There are more than 60 mountains above 100 meters above sea level, concentrated in the southeast of the territory, belonging to the Ma 'er Mountains of Taiyi Mountain, mostly east-west. Most mountains are granite and gneiss.
