Who recovered the sixteen counties?
Zhu Yuanzhang
In A.D. 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang, Emperor Taizu of Ming Dynasty, sent 250,000 troops, including Xu Da and Chang Yuchun, to the Northern Expedition of the Yuan Dynasty with the slogan of "expelling Land Rover and recovering the Central Plains". After a bloody battle, it took only one year to recover sixteen states in Yanyun. Since then, the rule of sixteen counties in non-Han nationality has ended.
Zhu Yuanzhang (1328,10,21-1398, June 24th)
Guo Rui, formerly known as Zhu Chongba and Zhu Xingzong. Li Zhong was born in Zhou Hao (now Fengyang, Anhui). The founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty (reigned from 1368 to 1398) was named "Hongwu".
Sixteen counties
Namely, Beijing, northern Tianjin (north of Haihe River), northern Hebei and northwestern Shanxi. This area has always been a natural barrier for the army of the Central Plains dynasty to fight against the cavalry of the northern nomadic people. The loss of sixteen states is an important event that affects the political structure and historical process of China.
value
The geographical position of Yanyun is very important. It is a battleground for military strategists in past dynasties, and it is also a natural barrier for the Central Plains Dynasty to protect agricultural areas and resist the invasion of nomadic peoples. Of course, it was also the base of the heyday of the Central Plains Dynasty. Yanshan Mountains and Northern Taihang Mountains are located in the north of Yanyun. In the case of low productivity, backward traffic and underdeveloped military technology in ancient times, mountains are an invincible natural barrier in front of people.
