Most dinosaurs have been extinct, but the descendants of dinosaurs-birds have survived and multiplied to this day. Dinosaurs first appeared in Triassic about 240 million years ago and died in Cretaceous about 65 million years ago. Dinosaurs eventually died out in the Cenozoic Tertiary Paleocene 63 million years ago.
