Strictly speaking, it is not a serial port or a parallel port. Broadly speaking, multiple cables transmit bit signals at the same time, even if they are parallel ports, bit signals are transmitted sequentially, even if they are serial ports.

For example: IDE= parallel port transmission, USB= serial port transmission.

However, don't confuse it with the parallel port on the computer.
