Is it okay to change the new account?
Whether it will be replaced depends on the type of household registration book that the party concerned has redeemed.

If the party concerned changes the household registration book, does not move into the household registration book or open a separate account, the account number will not be changed. However, if the party concerned does not move into the household registration and set up a separate household registration, the family members, household registration number and household head will all change. If the account number is wrong:

1. The householder should bring his household registration book (including before and after renewal) and ID card.

2. Go to the Household Registration Section of the police station in the jurisdiction where the household registration is located, explain the actual situation, and go through the relevant correction procedures according to the tips of the staff.

I. Change of account number

The number of the household registration book needs to be changed, and the corresponding conditions must be met, such as separate accounts. If the household registration book is reissued, this number will not change.

The household registration number of the household registration book is the household registration number of the household administration organ where the household registration is located, and it generally does not need to be replaced, let alone replaced every year. In other words, changes need to be made by the family management department.

Second, the use of household registration books

1, the household registration book has the legal effect of proving citizenship and family members, and is the main basis for household registration authorities to conduct household registration and verification. When the staff of the household registration authority conducts household registration investigation and verification, the head of household or family members shall take the initiative to submit the household registration book.

2. The householder shall properly keep the household register, and it is strictly forbidden to alter, transfer or lend it without permission. If it is lost, it must be reported to the household registration authority immediately.

3. The right to register the household registration book belongs to the household registration authority, and no other unit or individual may make any record in the book.

4. If there is any increase or decrease in personnel or change in registered items, the household shall report to the household registration authority with the household registration book.

5. If the whole family moves out of the household registration jurisdiction, the household registration book shall be handed over to the household registration authority.

When a new account book is issued, the old account book will be recovered and the old one will be useful. When the police station issues a new card, it will also stamp the cancellation stamp on the old household registration book. The account book is damaged or lost, and the old one is invalid. If it is damaged or replaced, the household registration management center will recover the old household registration book. If it is lost, it will be handed over to the household registration management center for cancellation. Therefore, it is useless to make up the old accounts. In line with the conditions for settlement, I or the trustee shall submit a written application report to the local police station where the household registration is declared, and provide corresponding certification materials.

Legal basis:

Article 17 of the Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) Municipality on Household Registration
