Shortly after the establishment of the Southern Song Dynasty, Song Gaozong and Zhao Gou fled to Yangzhou and lived in Yangzhou for more than a year, and the situation became tense again. On December 16th, the second year of Jian 'an, Yuan You left Yangzhou and took refuge in a royal ship. Miao Fu, the commander-in-chief of the imperial camp, commanded eight thousand men. On the first day of February the following year, Song Gaozong sent the Crown Prince and the Sixth Palace to Hangzhou. Liu Zhengyan led 3000 officers and men under the control of the Royal Barracks. Therefore, both Miaofu and * * * have more than 10,000 troops stationed in Hangzhou, serving as palace guards. (Excerpted from Cai Bo Resource Library)
In February of three years, Zong Wei, deputy commander of Nomads, invaded south and rushed to Yangzhou. Song Gaozong fled hastily, rode across the river, came to Hangzhou via Zhenjiang, and lived in Hangzhou Fuzhi at the foot of Phoenix Mountain in the south of Hangzhou, which was originally the Miyagi built by the money king of Wu Yueguo. At that time, in addition to Wang Yuan, who was controlled by the imperial army, and some elite guards led by Wu Zhan, who was controlled by the China army, the main armed forces were the troops of Miao Fu and Liu Zhengyan. Other major ministers and generals with a unified army, such as Lv Yihao, Zhang Jun, Liu Guangshi, Zhang Jun and Han Shizhong, were stationed in key places along the Yangtze River to prevent the nomads from invading the south. Three years ago, I arrived in Hangzhou on February 13th, and on March 5th, the Miao and Liu Uprising took place.
The mutiny launched by Miao Fu and Liu Zhengyan is a planned and step-by-step rebellion. On the first day of the mutiny, they first made careful planning among the main internal generals and aides, formulated a unified slogan for action, accompanied by small yellow silk documents, and at the end of the volume, there were code words for controlling the official land and controlling the official money. Tian is Miao and Jin is Liu. At the same time, it was agreed that the next day, under the pretext of going to Lin 'an County to catch opera thieves, troops would gather at Tianzhu Temple and then launch a mutiny. The news was quickly learned by Bankang Road of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Song Gaozong and Wang Yuan were informed in time. Wang Yuan immediately sent a general and 500 elite guards to ambush Tianzhu Temple the night before. As long as the rebels act, they are immediately caught red-handed. However, Wang Yuan closed his eyes on empty air. Actually, this is a trick played by Miao Fu. He deliberately fooled Wang Yuan and moved the elite soldiers away from him to make it easier to move.
On the fifth day, Liu Guangshi was appointed as the commander-in-chief before the temple, and officials entered the court to listen to the announcement system. Miao and Liu ambushed at the North Bridge (now near the Sixth Bridge in Hangzhou). When Wang Yuan retreated to Korea and passed by, Liu Zhengyan stepped forward to intercept and falsely accused the eunuch of rebellion. Wang Yuan was forbidden to talk, so he began to cut off his head with a knife. Miao and Liu Zhengyan led troops everywhere, trying to capture Mr Zhang. Anyone without a beard was arrested and killed, and more than 65,438+000 people were killed on the spot. They rushed out of the palace gate (near Fengshan Gate today) to see Song Gaozong, and posted notices everywhere in Hangzhou to publicize the motives of the mutiny.
Things continue to expand. At noon, accompanied by Prime Minister Zhu Shengfei and Hangzhou Magistrate Kang, he boarded the rostrum to ask Miao Fu and said that he would not pursue the behavior of that day. On the spot, Miao Fu was named as the propaganda imperial battalion commander, and Liu Zhengyan was appointed as the observer and deputy battalion commander, withdrawing troops. Miao Fu said, if you want to retreat, you have to hand over Kang Lu. Emperor Gaozong had to beat Wu Zhan, a military commander, take Kang Lu alive and hand him over to Miao Fu. He was beheaded on the spot at the gate, and his head was cut off, opposite to Wang Yuan's head, and hung on both sides of the Chaotianmen Gate. At this time, Emperor Gaozong ordered Miao Fu to withdraw from the village. Miao Fu and Liu Zhengyan not only refused to obey, but also made rude remarks. They thought that Zhao Gou should never have been emperor, so they asked him to immediately give way to the Crown Prince, who was only three years old, and suggested that Empress Yuan You should listen to politics, or take tougher military action to attack Miyagi. In order to temporarily avoid its front, stabilize the rebels and curb the development of the situation, four meditation conditions were put forward to contain Miao and Liu's army. These four conditions are:
First, the story of respecting the emperor as a Taoist monarch, and the ritual of sacrifice is extremely rich;
Second, after meditation, everything will be punished by the queen mother and heirs;
Third, after the surrender, the sergeant will be disarmed and returned to the village;
Four: no sergeant, no looting, no murder and arson;
After these terms were approved by Miao Fuhe, Zhao Gou issued an imperial edict, giving the prince a formal meditation position, so Miao Fuhe called for withdrawal and moved to Xiangfu Temple (now Yan 'an Road in Hangzhou to inspect Tainan).
The main reasons for this mutiny are as follows: First, the ruling clique in the Southern Song Dynasty was corrupt, and a group of eunuchs headed by Kang Lu were kind-hearted and used power for wealth, so civilian military commanders had to curry favor with them. When the nomads from the army captured Yangzhou, Wang Yuan committed the crime of delaying the military plane. Instead of being punished for befriending Kang Lu, Miao, Liu and others were very angry because they were promoted to important positions in the Privy Council. Kang Lu's subordinates, Lance, and others also ran amok in the village, causing strong dissatisfaction among the military and civilians. So Miao and Liu Juqi rebelled, and everyone followed. Secondly, there were rumors at that time that Wang Yuan and Kang Lu colluded with each other, embezzled a large amount of property seized from the rebel army Chen Tong and hid it in Hangzhou. If Wang Yuan and Kang Law are killed, they will get the property. Thirdly, some officials, such as doctors Wang, Wang, Wang and Ma Rouji of Miao Fu Department, were distressed because they could not be reused by the imperial court.
