/kloc-in the winter of 0/945, he served as the propaganda minister of Rongcheng County Committee in Jizhong. He was busy supporting the front-line propaganda organization and took part in the battle to recover Rongcheng County. From 65438 to 0947, he served as the leader of the land reform working group in Raoyang County and a member of the district committee. Long-term rural life in central Hebei laid a deep foundation for his later creation. 1949 Since the spring, he has successively served as director of Jizhong Federation of Literary and Art Circles and director of the Literature and Art Department of the Propaganda Department of Hebei Provincial Party Committee, engaged in novel creation, and wrote the short story Yangko (1948) and the novella Zhou Chungui Going South (1949). In May, Su Hu led Jizhong Peking Opera Troupe to Xibaipo Village, Pingshan County, western Hebei Province, to perform for the CPC Central Committee. He was received by Chairman Mao and the leading comrades of the Central Committee, and personally listened to Comrade Zhou Enlai's speech on the reform of traditional Chinese opera and how to treat and evaluate historical figures correctly. 1949 in July, the China literary and art workers' congress was held in Beijing. Su Hu, head of the Hebei delegation, attended the symposium of heads of delegations from various provinces and cities held by Comrade Zhou Enlai in Zhongnanhai. After listening to his report, Comrade Zhou Enlai revised the slogan put forward by Hebei and changed it to "actively develop new literature and art and vigorously reform old literature and art". In two interviews, he deeply realized how to treat the reform of traditional Chinese opera correctly and should reform the old literature and art with great courage and energy. After the first National Literature Congress, Su Hu was elected as the first director of Hebei Federation of Literary and Art Circles at the Hebei Literature Congress, engaged in the organization and leadership of literature and art in the whole province, and published a paper "New Literature and Art of Hebei People", summarizing the achievements of Hebei literature movement and creative activities since War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. 1950 published the article "actively developing new literature and art should be closely combined with vigorously transforming old literature and art" (reprinted by People's Daily), which conscientiously implemented the guiding spirit of Comrade Zhou Enlai's two talks and had an important impact on promoting literature and art work in the province. Long-term revolutionary struggle life and artistic creation activities laid a solid foundation for him to enter the film industry and engage in film screenwriter work.
