What does "SDU" mean?
Special forces. Special forces. The special police team of the Hong Kong police, that is, the Flying Tigers often seen in movies. In 1973, the Hong Kong police set up the Magic Gun Team, the predecessor of the Flying Tigers. In 74, it was officially renamed SDU Special Forces, or SWAT Team. 1978 was trained by the British SAS special air force and began to have modern combat tactics and equipment. SDU has three teams, namely, land attack team, water attack team (commonly known as water ghost team) and sniper team. Among them, the water attack team is the most elite of the three teams, and there are rumors that the fighting capacity of the water attack team can be comparable to that of the SEALs. The equipment level of SDU is the same as that of British SAS, but the specific combat weapons are closer to the actual needs of the police, such as the underwater breathing apparatus used by the Water Ghost Team, which is also the same level of equipment as the US Navy SEALs. You can breathe underwater, and you can't see bubbles on the water. In fact, the exchanges between the Hong Kong Special Police Team and the domestic police have a long history. Including weapons and equipment, techniques and tactics, on-site disposal methods and so on. In the early years, the CQB operation of Guangzhou Armed Police Force was learned from the communication with SDU.
