Nanchang National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone was founded in March of 199 1, and was approved as a national hi-tech zone by the State Council in March of19921.

High-tech Zone is located at the east gate of Nanchang, covering an area of 286 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over Changdong Town, Maqiu Town, Aixihu Management Office and Liyuzhou Management Office, and the developed industrial zone covers an area of about 70 square kilometers.
