The theme slogan 17 of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Winter Olympics) was officially released-"Join hands to create a better future" (in English).

BOCOG said that this is a sincere invitation from China to the world, which conveys the beautiful expectation of 65.438+0.4 billion people in China: inspired by the Olympic spirit, we will work hand in hand with the people of the world to help each other in the same boat and create a better future.

Slogan of 2022 Winter Olympics

The theme slogan is one of the important symbols of previous Olympic Games, a high generalization of the Olympic spirit, and a vivid embodiment of the unique culture and spiritual outlook of the host country and city.

In order to fully express the vision and goal of hosting the Beijing Winter Olympics and create a unique theme slogan, BOCOG started the collection of theme slogan creation in May 2020, and collected theme slogan ideas from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Communication University of China and China Academy of Social Sciences in a targeted way.

After several rounds of evaluation, we listened to the opinions of relevant parties and experts, and reached an agreement with the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee. Finally, we decided to take "Join hands to create the future" as the theme slogan of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The theme slogan of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games "One World, One Dream" is still remembered. In 2022, Beijing will become the first city in the world to host both the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics. The theme slogan of "Join hands for the future" is in the same strain as that of 2008, and at the same time embodies the characteristics of today's times, which is another China mark left by Beijing as a "double Olympic city" for the Olympic movement.
