The full English name of IDPA is "International Defense Pistol Association", which means "International Defense Pistol Association". The responsibilities of the Association are mainly to provide venues and equipment for simulated actual combat drills for shooting enthusiasts, and to help shooting enthusiasts to compete and train.
IDPA was founded in Texas on 1996. Every year, hundreds of various types of training and competitions are held around the world. Fans can choose nearby training or games according to their actual situation. The IDPA movement is not only loved by citizens who legally hold guns, but also favored by law enforcement agencies in various countries.
IDPA member specific rules
1. Training and competition must be conducted with original equipment that has not been modified. Once a gunfight happens, the gunman often doesn't have enough time to be familiar with and prepare weapons, which requires the gunman to be familiar with the structure and use of the original guns without modification. This regulation is closer to China's national conditions, because the guns used by the domestic army and law enforcement agencies are all original guns.
2, actual combat drills, simulating the real environment. IDPA is committed to providing members with a more realistic shooting experience, so participants will encounter real scenes in life during the simulation exercise. Common simulation environments include home life, waiting rooms, restaurants and entertainment places.
