Master of Neo-Confucianism in Southern Song Dynasty
Zhu. Zhu was a master of Neo-Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty. He organically unified justice and human nature, emphasizing "preserving justice and destroying human desire". He inherited Confucianism in the Northern Song Dynasty, integrated Buddhism and Taoism, and established a complete neo-Confucianism system. He explained the universe and life with "Li" and "Qi", and thought that "Li" was the metaphysical absolute truth and "Qi" was the metaphysical concrete substance derived from "Li".
