File transfer (FTP): You can transfer files between different computers and different operating systems and download useful information resources from FTP servers.
It includes:
1. Login server: First, you need to establish a connection with the FTP server. Generally, the client software is used to log in to the server, and the IP address, port number, user name and password of the server are entered to log in to the server.
2. Select the file on the server: You can view the file on the server in the client software and select the file to download.
3. Start downloading: After selecting the file to download, click the download button in the client software to start copying the file from the remote server to the local client.
4. Transfer complete: After downloading, you can view the file on the local client.
The agreement stipulates that:
"File Transfer Protocol" is a widely used communication protocol on the Internet, which is formulated for Internet users to transfer files (including uploading and downloading files).
In order to realize FTP file transfer, software supporting FTP protocol must be installed at both ends of the connection. The software installed on your computer is called FTP client software, and the software installed on the other server is called FTP server software.
