Hundreds of years ago, the civil unrest caused heavy losses to the Ming Dynasty. This incident not only led to the capture of Ming Yingzong, the emperor of the Ming Dynasty; And countless civilian military commanders died in vain.
In the fourteenth year of orthodoxy (1449), Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen led an army to crusade against the captured Walla army. It happened in Tumubao (now southeast of Huailai County, Hebei Province), hence the name.
Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen was only 9 years old when he acceded to the throne. Eunuch Zhentang Wang presided over the ceremony. At that time, the thorn in northern Mongwa became stronger and stronger, posing a threat to the Central Plains. And Wang Zhen is not ready for the northern border defense.
1449 (14th year of orthodoxy) In July, the leader of Waci also led an army south to attack Ming, with Datong as the main force. Ming Yingzong, who was held hostage by Wang Zhen, was at a loss. Despite the dissuasion of civil servants, he decided to personally expedition. Because Wang Zhenyan missed the military plane, the Ming army was surrounded by the Waci army in Tumubao (now Huailai East, Hebei Province).
On August 3rd 1,1,0449 (August 14th, 14th year of Orthodox Church), the Waci army attacked and the Ming army collapsed. In the melee, he was killed by the Ming general Fan, and Yingzong was captured by the Waci army. More than half of the 500,000 Ming troops were killed or injured. This battle is called "Civil Change" in history. The "rebellion" seriously weakened the national strength of the Ming Dynasty.
The change of civil engineering shocked the world. Not only did Ming Yingzong become a prisoner of the Walla Army, but the whole capital was also in jeopardy. At the critical moment, Yu Qian, who is in charge of the Ministry of War, stepped forward. Together with military attache and foreign ministers, he established Zhu Qiyu as the emperor and re-established the political core of the Ming Dynasty. Lead all troops, unite as one, and defend the capital. With the support of the residents of the capital, the invading Walla army was repelled.
I also tried to use Yingzong as a hostage to extort surrender, but failed. In the first year of Jingtai (1450), the blackmail failed, the attack was resisted, and it was returned to Yingzong. This is the only emperor in history who was captured and returned safely.
After being put back, Yingzong quietly became emperor in Nangong for six years, and finally returned to the throne of the emperor in the change of 1457.
To sum up, the civil strife in the Ming Dynasty didn't end because of Zhu Qizhen's capture and Zhu Qiyu's opportunity to ascend to the throne. On the contrary, it laid a heavy hidden danger for the restoration of British sects and the wanton slaughter of ministers in the DPRK.
