Taking Lijiang River and Guilin City in Guilin, Guangxi as examples, the project aims to go deep into rural areas, communities and universities, actively publicize the concept of environmental protection, carry out public welfare activities in Guilin, deeply explore the relationship between urban construction and environmental protection today, and further appeal to the whole society to pay attention to environmental protection, enhance environmental awareness and advocate environmental protection. Lijiang River is the essence of Guilin scenery. Lijiang River originates from Maoershan in Xing 'an, northeast of Guilin, flows through Yangshuo, Guilin, and reaches Gongcheng estuary in Pingle County, with a total length of 437 kilometers. The Lijiang River, which is 84 kilometers from Guilin to Yangshuo, is like a green silk belt, coiled between ten thousand peaks. Project background and significance
Maoershan is located in the northeast of Guangxi, which is the source of Lijiang River in the implementation area of this project. Named after its cat-like shape, it ranks first among the five mountains and is known as the "top of South China". Maoershan Nature Reserve was established on 1976 with the approval of the people's government of the autonomous region, and its protection targets are mainly the Three Rivers and forest ecosystems. Lijiang River, Zijiang River and Xunjiang River originate here, covering an area of nearly 26,700 hectares, of which 7 160 hectares are listed as national protected areas.
The Lijiang River in Guilin, another area where this project is implemented, is located in the east of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south of China and belongs to the Pearl River system. Originated in Maoershan, the first peak in South China, with a total length of 437 kilometers. The waterway about 83 kilometers from Guilin to Yangshuo is called Lijiang River, which is the most typical karst terrain in northeast Guangxi. It has four wonders of "Castle Peak, Xiushui, Strange Cave and Beautiful Stone" and scenic spots of "Oasis, Dangerous Beach, Deep Pool and Waterfall". However, with the over-exploitation of tourism, the environmental problems of Lijiang River in Guilin have become more and more prominent, which has sounded the alarm for the development of Guilin tourism, especially the environmental protection of Lijiang River! The water level of Qingshitan Reservoir is gradually decreasing, and large areas of land are exposed along the Lijiang River, some of which are densely forested.

Activity implementation location
The implementation of the project will be carried out in Guilin Maoershan National Nature Reserve and its nearby villages, primary and secondary schools, as well as along the Lijiang River, universities and other places. The project site selection is typical, popular and popular. Through our on-the-spot investigation and going deep into the source of a river, we summarized the local ecological protection measures and the current situation of environmental protection rectification, and guided the local people to save water resources, not littering and recycling garbage. And gradually infiltrate the concept of environmental protection and gradually transform it into internal conscious action;
In social activities, we will choose local "green schools" as survey samples along the way, and try our best to teach environmental protection classes for rural primary schools. At the same time, biodiversity survey, wildlife protection, rural energy structure, pesticide use, etc.

On July 18, the launching ceremony of the project was held in the downtown square, and a large-scale photo exhibition (including "turning waste into treasure" handicraft exhibition) and a bicycle tour around the city were held.
From July 23 to July 29, we walked on the Lijiang River to preach environmental protection, conducted interest group research, carried out public welfare education in coastal primary and secondary schools, and held a team attention meeting in the implementation area.
From July 30th to August 8th, we went deep into Maoershan to conduct household surveys and field trips, spread the concept of environmental protection along the way, and investigated species diversity with scientific methods.
