Professional introduction:
Aircraft power engineering specialty is an engineering specialty that focuses on aerospace power, especially aero-engines, with the aim of mastering engine design and cultivating power research and design talents. It is also one of the earliest established majors in our school, which embodies the characteristics of aerospace. Aeroengine is known as the "crown jewel" of modern industry. At present, aero-engine is a mechatronics product with the highest technical level, the most difficult development and the most complicated system, and only a few permanent members of the United Nations can develop it. Entering the aircraft power engineering major, the top of technology and life will be close at hand!
Power system is the heart of an airplane, and it is also the decisive factor to promote the rapid development of the airplane from generation to generation. "Developing space, giving priority to power" has become the consensus of the international space community and the successful experience of space technology in developed countries. At present, only the United States, Britain, France and Russia can truly independently develop advanced aero-engines. In order to meet the needs of national space development and national defense modernization, three of the 16 major projects launched in China are directly related to space power technology.
Further study:
Students in this major can continue to study for master's, doctor's and postdoctoral mobile stations in aerospace science and technology and power engineering and engineering thermophysics, thermal engineering, power machinery and engineering, and fluid machinery and engineering.
20 18 graduates go abroad/enter higher education rate is 60%.
Employment:
Graduates of this major have a wide range of employment and a high level of employment, including foreign-funded and private enterprises such as aerospace systems, civil aviation systems, energy enterprises, communications industries, universities, and the military. In the past three years, the undergraduate employment rate (including continuing education) of this major was 20 16 99%, 20 17 99% and 20 18 99% respectively, and the demand for graduates was in short supply for many years.
