Nanjing Institute of Information Technology was formerly known as 1953 Nanjing Radio Industry School, and later passed through Nanjing Telecom School, East China Industrial School and Nanjing Industrial School.
1954 radio major of east China second industrial school and 1964 Nanjing 292 technical school merged into this school. On June 28th, 2002, with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, Nanjing Institute of Information Technology was established.
