I. Beijing Winter Olympics

Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the 24th Winter Olympic Games, is an international Olympic event hosted by China, which opened on February 4th and closed on February 20th, 2022.

In 2022, there will be seven major events in the Beijing Winter Olympics, with 15 events and 109 events. Beijing Division undertakes all ice events and freestyle skiing, Yanqing Division undertakes snowmobiles, sledges and alpine skiing, and Zhangjiakou Division undertakes all snow events except snowmobiles, sledges, alpine skiing and freestyle skiing.

Second, the emblem

Inspired by the Chinese character "Winter", the emblem of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics uses the artistic form of China's calligraphy to integrate the rich oriental cultural heritage with the international modern style, presenting a new image and dream of China in the new era, and conveying China's dream of running the Beijing Winter Olympics well in the new era, realizing "300 million people participating in ice and snow sports" and becoming a sports power.

The unremitting efforts and beautiful pursuit to promote the development of world ice and snow sports and make new contributions to the international Olympic movement. The upper part of the emblem shows the shape of skaters, while the lower part shows the heroic attitude of skiers.

The dance lines in the middle are smooth and rhythmic, representing the rolling hills, stadiums, snow slides and festive ribbons in the venue, adding a festive visual feeling to the emblem and symbolizing that the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held during the Spring Festival in China. The emblem is dominated by blue, symbolizing dreams and the future, and also symbolizing the brightness and purity of ice and snow.

Red and yellow are derived from the national flag of China, representing the passion, youth and vitality of sports. In the form of Beijing 2022 font, it absorbs the characteristics of China's calligraphy and paper-cutting, enhances the cultural connotation and expressive force of the font, and also embodies the sense of integrity and unity with the emblem graphics.
