The No.056 first ship "Bengbu" was launched in May 20 12, and served nine months later. In addition to the follow-up ship construction in Hudong, Shanghai and Huangpu, Guangzhou, two old frigate construction bases, even Liaonan Shipyard, which mainly built small boats before, and Wuhan Shipyard, which mainly built submarines, also joined the "Xiajiaozi" competition. In just over 20 months, 18 has been put into service and 5 are being outfitted. The first batch of 056 was built in Huangpu, Guangzhou and Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard, Shanghai, and the construction started at the end of 20 1 1. The first ship built by Hudong Factory was launched on May 23, 20 12, and the first ship built by Guangzhou Huangpu Factory was launched on June 2. Hudong and Huangpu factories will build a large number of 056 ships in the form of production lines, and several other shipyards will also join the production ranks of this second-line ship. The first 056 ship built by Wuhan Shipyard and the first 056 ship built by Dalian Liaonan Shipyard were launched in August 20 12. It is estimated that the total number of frigates built will not be low.

It is reported that the China Navy plans to build 50 Type 056 warships, including the first batch of 20, of which 165, 438+065, 438+06 and 438+03 have been launched by the end of 1965.
