The popularity of the word "local tycoon" has a concerning practical significance. Sociologists say that the emergence of “local tyrants” is a metaphor for the stratification of Chinese society. It has become a new group label that is more popular than terms such as "tall, rich and handsome", "white and beautiful" and "diaosi". "Local tyrants" and "diaosi" correspond to each other on a crude level. In the coordinate system of the economic base, one is above and the other is below.
