If you have spirit and moral character but no external cultivation, then external cultivation can be obtained and learned. Only external cultivation without inner spirit and moral character, then we can only stop external cultivation. \r\n\r\nThat is to say, Tao is the inner state such as Zen, and technique is the external cultivation such as martial arts. Tao is the basis of art, and art is the expression of Tao. Only those who have the Tao can achieve higher arts, and those who have the skills but not the Tao can only be ordinary people. \r\nSpirit and moral character are the Tao. The Tao is naturally the Tao and should be in line with human principles and heavenly principles.
