His real name is Luigi Bertelli and he was born in Florence. I worked as a railway clerk and journalist, and later I mainly engaged in children's literature creation. 1906, he founded Children's Sunday Diary, and soon published his famous novel Diary of a Troupe (also known as Diary of a Naughty Boy or Diary of a Little Cyclone) in this newspaper, which was a great success.

This novel, which was originally serialized in the newspaper as a diary, describes the troubles of children's growth in a relaxed and humorous way. Once published, it conquered countless children and adults. The Diary of a Troupe has been reprinted in Italy for more than 20 times since it was compiled into a book in 1920. It has been translated into 39 languages, loved by readers of different ages all over the world, drawn into various picture books, and adapted into cartoons and film and television dramas many times, becoming a well-known classic in the western world.
