Three important representatives of the Milesian School: Thales, Anaximander and Anaximenes.
The founder of the Milesian School was Thales ( About 624 BC ~ 547 BC) He was a famous figure among the Seven Sages of Greece alongside Solon. He believed that the source of all things is water, water gives rise to all things, and all things return to water. This view seems simple but covers all things. The truth that everything was originally born in water rules out the conjecture that gods created the world that were popular at the time. Another representative figure, Anaximander (approximately 610 BC ~ 546 BC), advocated that the origin of all things is "infinite" , everything is born from infinity and returns to infinity, and infinity itself can neither be created nor destroyed.
The Greek city of Miletus was a rich port and commercial center that produced three important thinkers: Thales, Anaximander and Anaximenes founded the Milesian School. It is a school of Pre-Socratic philosophy and is known as the founder of Western philosophy.
