Spinoza believes that everything in the world strives to maintain its existence from the perspective of human being as a finite individual, and death, as the opposite of self-preservation, fundamentally violates the principle of self-preservation. Even the thought of death will reduce people's ability to save themselves, which should be avoided as much as possible.

From the point of view that people have eternal hearts and share divinity, the freedom of free people lies in knowing the eternal inevitability of God in meditation, loving God and obeying God, so as to get rid of the perishable desires and passions of all limited things and achieve truly rational freedom and happiness. Through such meditation, people will get eternal life in a sense.

In any sense, death is not worth considering.
