Qiu Ji Nima Living Buddha is from jiuzhi county, Guoluo Prefecture, Qinghai Province. He was born in Laintoga, where the gatekeeper lived east of Yeshze Mountain in Nyanbao, on an auspicious day in the sixteenth year. His father is a Han nationality surnamed Hu, and his mother is Dangzeng Zhuo Ma, the sister of Langsadoji, the living Buddha of Luzhu. There were some auspicious signs before he was born. For example, Dawa Lama Mei Jie Dorje had a dream that a sword was shining on a plate full of white rice in the living Buddha's home in Luxi. Dawa Lama believes that this dream indicates that Qiao Zhi Rinpoche will be reincarnated into the world. At the same time, the uncle of the living Buddha, Banmalang Shadoji, also had a dream that he found a pair of coral sun and moon.
