This Thursday afternoon, I listened to a lecture on family education at school. The speaker was Peng, the headmaster of the Chinese-English school in this city. The theme of this lecture is "Education is to cultivate habits". ?
First of all, Chairman Peng talked about the importance of habit through several short stories, including the story of an astronaut Gagarin. A dozen astronauts went to visit the spaceship they were going to take. Gagarin was the only one who took off his shoes when he entered the hatch. It is such an action that the designer is very moved. Gagarin became the first astronaut to fly into space.
This story tells us that success begins with good habits. Russian educator ushinski famously said, "Any habit is a reflective behavior. How deep is the behavior habit, how deep is the reflection. Where there are habits, there is a nervous system at work. "
Ushinski believes that through education and training, people can form new habits and new reflections, and they can control their own destiny. President Peng also talked about UNESCO's proposal that the mission of 2 1 century education is to help students: "learn to be human, learn to do things, learn to get along with * * *", and the first thing to learn the "four clues" is to cultivate good habits.
Then President Peng talked about the key points of habit formation: the habit of being a man, the habit of doing things, the habit of studying and the habit of communicating, and listed 36 specific habits according to these four points. It is emphasized that our parents know what good habits and bad habits children have in life.
Then I talked about how to cultivate good habits. It takes 265,438+0 days to form a habit, and different behavior habits take different time to form. The longer the time, the stronger the habit.
This also reminds me of my children's parent-child reading. I always insisted on reading with my children before I went to primary school. Later, when I went to primary school, my children's literacy increased, and they basically read independently. However, when I find that children choose their own books, they often only choose comic books. Later, I resumed studying with my parents. After a period of persistence, the scope of children's slow reading has become wider.
Finally, President Peng also talked about five steps to cultivate good habits and how to correct bad habits. When talking about correcting bad habits, President Peng told us through the stories of the three major movements that if people want to learn good habits, they should be close to good people, things and things.
Thank the school for giving us the opportunity to listen to such a good education lecture. Through this lecture, I learned more about the importance of educating children and forming good habits, and also learned many ways to cultivate good habits. I remember Mr. Ba Jin once said that "the successful education of children begins with the cultivation of good habits". Let's start with the cultivation of children's good habits!
