Ming Feng Menglong's series "A cautionary tale: Yu Tangchun meets his husband when he is in trouble":
The son thought to himself, "What can be done with him?" When I walked out of the door, I saw a couple hanging on the gate: "I suffered from the window for ten years and became famous in one fell swoop." "This is my father-in-law's couplet. He will try in the middle school, and the official will be the assistant minister. Later, my dad studied here, and the official went to Shangshu. I am studying here today, and I want to climb the dragon and attach the phoenix, in order to follow the aspirations of my predecessors. " See also a couplet on the second door: "If you don't suffer, it's hard for people to get here."
Later, it became a folk saying, and it was changed to "You can be a master only if you eat bitterness".
second, how can the plum blossom smell fragrant without a bitter cold?
Huang Berry (niè) "Ode to the Opening of the Class"
Tang Huang Berry (niè) Zen master "Ode to the Opening of the Class"
[translation] If the plum blossom has not withstood the repeated hardships of wind and frost, how can it have a fragrant fragrance?
[Appreciation] These are two aphorisms that encourage people to overcome difficulties and aspire to achieve their careers by taking advantage of plum blossom's proud snow to welcome frost and cold ling's solitary character. As for plum blossom, Song Fan Chengda's Preface to Plum Spectrum said: "Plum, a stunner in the world, dares to disagree without asking whether it is wise, foolish and virtuous." "stunner" here refers to a particularly rare flower, that is to say, plum is a plant with higher quality than qunfang. It can be seen that the author uses plum blossom to symbolize a spirit, which itself contains some philosophy; If we give causal hints about the "freezing cold" and the "fragrant smell" that it experienced, the "plum blossom" as a vehicle will have another profound truth. The author is a generation of Buddhist Zen monks. He used this poem to express his determination to achieve the results of perseverance and practice, and to tell the correct attitude that people should adopt in dealing with all difficulties. This is also the main reason why these two poems are very famous and often quoted, and they have changed from Zen poems to secular famous sayings.
[Original] It's very difficult to get rid of dust and labor, so do it tightly with the rope end; Without some freezing cold, plum blossoms will smell fragrant
3; There is a way to learn from books and mountains, and there is no end to learning from the sea.
It comes from the famous academic association of Han Yu, a famous poet and philosopher in the Tang Dynasty. As long as the kung fu is deep, the iron pestle will be ground into a needle
Zhu Mu's "Fang Yu Sheng Lan Mei Zhou Mo Zhen Xi": "At the foot of Xianger Mountain, it was handed down from generation to generation in Li Taibai Reading Mountain, but I didn't give it up. When I crossed the stream, I would grind the iron pestle every time I was old. When I asked, I said,' I want to be a needle', I was too impressed. Later, the metaphor of "iron pestle grinds into a needle" and "iron bar grinds into a needle" means that as long as you have perseverance and perseverance, you can succeed in doing anything.
Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, didn't like reading when he was a child. One day, when the teacher was not in the house, he sneaked out to play.
He came to the river at the foot of the mountain and saw an old woman grinding an iron pestle on a stone. Li Bai was puzzled and asked, "Old woman, what are you doing grinding the iron pestle?"
the old woman said, "I'm sharpening the needle." Li Bai was surprised and asked, "Oh dear! The iron pestle is so thick, how can it be ground into a needle? " The old woman walked over and said, "As long as the iron pestle is always grinded more and more finely every day, are you still afraid that it will not be a needle?"
after hearing this, Li Bai, a clever man, thought of himself and felt ashamed. He turned and ran back to the bookstore. From then on, he kept in mind the truth that "as long as the kung fu is deep, the iron pestle is ground into a needle" and studied hard.
