Shi Xingyun (August 19, 1927 - ), commonly known as Li Guoshen, is often called Master Xingyun by his followers. A native of Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, he became a monk at the age of twelve at the Qixia Temple in Nanjing with Master Li Zhikai. He is currently the president of the World General Assembly of Buddha's Light Association International and the honorary dean of the Institute of Chinese Culture at Nanjing University.

10. Poverty and desire are like the sea, hatred is like fire; ignorance is dark, and my slowness is as high as the mountain.
11. Wealth is not a permanent friend; friends are a permanent friend.
12. If you do thousands of things, you can make thousands of friends; if you benefit thousands of people, you can cultivate thousands of behaviors.
13. Eliminating suspicion, giving up arrogance, and not infringing on others are the determined skills.
14. Sacrifice oneself, seek perfection, and do not harm others. This is the power of precepts.
15. Praise is like the fragrance of flowers, fragrant and pleasant; helping others is like the winter sun, timely and warm.
16. Reflect on oneself, understand cause and effect, and do not blame others. This is the prajna of wisdom.
17. Everyone has his or her own wishes. There is no need to ask others about their wishes. First, ask yourself what you are willing to do for the public.
18. Losers are often people who are only hot for five minutes; winners are often people who persist for the last five minutes.
19. If you don’t ignore the trickle, it will eventually become an ocean; if you don’t ignore the soil, it will eventually become a mountain; if you don’t be ashamed to ask questions, you will eventually become knowledgeable; if you don’t hide your mistakes, you will eventually achieve goodness.
20. Only with determination can you have the strength to realize your ideals and fulfill your wishes. Willingness is the foundation of all achievements.
21. The person who knows how to use time is the wise man who understands eternity; the person who knows how to use space is the saint who understands infinity.
22. There is no distinction between high and low when working, there is no distinction between high and low when serving, there is no distinction between old and young when studying, and there is no distinction between saints and mortals when practicing Taoism.
23. To study and study: learn to be a person, understand a little bit of theory, understand a little fate, and understand a heart.
24. When a climber is on a cliff, what he urgently needs is a small ivy tree; when a motivated person is on a dangerous journey in life, what he urgently needs is a kind guide.
25. If you want to get what others want, you will not get what I want; if you want to get what others want, you will not get what others want; if you want to get people what you want, you will not get what they want unless I get what they want; if everyone gets what they want, everything goes well for everyone.
