An essay about Cao Cao
Cao Cao, a romantic figure through the ages
Cao Cao is a name that has been passed down through the ages. This extraordinary name always emits a kind of splendor and magnificence, which makes me admire and intoxicate. Cao Cao has been my hero since childhood.
I first met Cao Cao after watching "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms"
In the fourth grade of elementary school, I became obsessed with "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and the heroes in it. From Zhou Gongjin, Guo Fengxiao, and Zhuge Kongming who wore feather-fan turbans, to Lu Boyan, Xia Houyuan, and Guan Yunchang who were galloping on the battlefield. In my eyes, every one of them has a kind of greatness, and every one of them has a kind of spirit. The beacon battlefield brewed a piece of history and created countless heroes.
In "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", I first met Cao Cao, and I seemed to hear Cao Cao's words after accidentally killing Lu Boshe: "I would rather teach me to betray the people of the world than teach the people of the world to betray me!" I also saw Cao Cao's famous saying about heroes: "A hero is one who has great ambitions, a good plan, the opportunity to contain the universe, and the aspirations of heaven and earth." I heard Cao Cao's earth-shattering cry that frightened Liu Bei. : "Today, the only heroes in the world are your envoy and Cao Er!" That kind of power called "majestic" attacked me in just a few words, and I was impressed by Cao Cao's impassioned heroic spirit.
Then, during the Battle of Guandu, I saw another Cao Cao, a confident, wise, and calm Cao Cao. Facing Yuan Shao's army of more than seventy people, Cao Cao remained calm and composed. In front of all his ministers, he agreed with Xun Yu's words - "Although Shao's army is numerous, there is nothing to fear", and dispatched troops and generals to defend Guandu. When Yuan Shao's "tests" shook the morale of Cao's army again and again, Cao Cao remained calm. With the overwhelming force of "Thunderbolt Chariot", Yuan Shao's countless crossbowmen were defeated. When the crisis of "the army was gradually running out and food and grass were no longer available" once again affected the morale of Cao's army, he remained calm. He waited quietly for Xu You, robbed Yuan Jun's food route, and burned Yuan Jun's granary. Finally, Yuan Jun was defeated in Guandu. From then on, the Battle of Guandu went down in history. From then on, Cao Cao used his extraordinary intelligence and courage to write the most glorious page in his military career.
Reading "A Taste of the Three Kingdoms" and getting to know Cao Cao
After I finished reading "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", I struck while the iron was hot and read Mr. Yi Zhongtian's "A Taste of the Three Kingdoms" carefully. Mr. Yi combined historical materials to view and appreciate the Three Kingdoms from his own perspective. Of course, the character in the book is Cao Cao. Through this book, I got to know Cao Cao again.
Mr. Yi talked about Cao Cao’s literary image and Cao Cao’s historical image; he also talked about the “crime” of being a traitor to Cao Cao and the unknown loveliness that blended into Cao Cao’s character. and tolerance. From it, I actually saw a lovely Cao Cao who had no scruples in interacting with others and acted straightforwardly. I saw a lovely Cao Cao who was funny and humorous. The cute Cao Cao chatting and laughing with the soldiers. Isn't it? What Cao Cao said to the soldiers who admired him still echoed in my ears: "I tell you, just like you, I am also a human being. I don't have four eyes and two mouths, but I just have a little more wisdom."
< p>Perhaps, those who hate him will laugh at the intermittent and lackluster manner in which he talks about family affairs in the "Posthumous Order". But this is the side of him that is different from ordinary people. It allows us to see his simplicity and frankness when he was dying, and his calmness about life and death. Therefore, I admire the truth and calmness contained in Cao Cao's "cuteness". In my opinion, it is truth that creates his loveliness, and calmness that makes him heroic.
Reading Cao Cao’s poems and then criticizing Cao Cao
In Chinese language class in the first grade of junior high school, I learned Cao Cao’s "Guan Cang Hai". This is a famous article written by Cao Cao during his northern expedition to Karasuma. The first sentence at the beginning of the chapter, "Landing the Jieshi in the east to view the sea," I felt a majestic energy coming to my face. After that, looking up into the distance, you can see turbulent water waves, towering mountain peaks, long green trees, and prosperous flowers and plants. After the autumn wind blew coldly and the waves rolled, Cao Cao thought of the sun, moon, and starry sky, and felt an atmosphere that was swallowing up the universe. At this time, Cao Cao expressed his ambition to unify the north and the world. That kind of momentum shocked my soul.
After that, I began to read Cao Cao’s poems in a planned way. From the line "Singing to wine and singing, how long is life? Like the morning dew, how bitter the day is", I was moved by his generosity and calmness; from the line "Wish to climb Mount Taihua, God and Man" in "A Journey to the Autumn Lake" *** Travel far away. How long is the world! Humanity is so short." I was shocked by his passion and magnificence; from the words in "The Turtle Lives Longevity", I am deeply moved by him. I admire his ideals and ambitions...
Every poem by Cao Cao shows his ambitions as a politician and his heroic spirit as a writer. He allowed the poems to flow with a generous, sad, deep and majestic emotion, expressing the most touching aspect of the "Jian'an style".
Cao Cao is wise, generous, frank and truthful, and has great ambitions. He deserves to be an outstanding romantic figure in the history of our country.
Comments
Liu Ren loved history and poetry so much at a young age, and conceived of Cao Cao’s mental journey in chronological order in his writing, so as to describe the characters from the expressions. It is not easy to comment and analyze. Of course, Cao Cao was a very complicated person, and later generations' evaluations were inconsistent. Today, when we as readers evaluate historical figures, we must learn to analyze Cao Cao's complex thoughts from the perspective of the political system at that time. Therefore, reading history and evaluating characters require calm and rigorous thinking qualities.
