The National Two Sessions in 2017 have officially opened, and the voices of representative members of the Two Sessions have attracted much attention. Dong Mingzhu, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances, had an in-depth exchange with reporters on fee and tax reductions, new energy vehicle development and other aspects in the large-scale high-end video interview series "Direct Train to the Two Sessions" launched by Xinhuanet.
Dong Mingzhu believes that as a deputy to the National People's Congress, the demands of grassroots people should be reflected to the highest state power organs through bills and suggestions, so as to serve the country in making better decisions that care about people's livelihood. At the same time, the new energy vehicle industry still needs market adjustment, accelerating the construction of charging piles, and gradually improving relevant laws and policies.
1. Inheriting the spirit of craftsmanship and promoting intelligent manufacturing in great countries
Dong Mingzhu believes that it is very one-sided for corporate managers with social responsibility to just think about getting rich themselves, but to solve social problems. The problem of people getting rich. Doing new energy is not only for profit, but also from a social perspective. For example, there is an urgent need for environmental protection and the need for the dream of a powerful country.
2. The development of new energy vehicles has a long way to go
Dong Mingzhu believes that there are currently three factors restricting the development of new energy vehicles. First of all, consumers’ doubts have not been dispelled; secondly, charging piles are still very scarce, and consumers will be very worried about using battery cars and electric cars. This is due to changes in consumption habits and consumption thinking. Finally, ideally, there should be no further investment in the battery and no updates. The current situation is that they need to be replaced after two or three years of use. At the same time, the new energy vehicle market still needs market regulation, accelerating the construction of charging piles and directly increasing consumer subsidies to avoid frequent occurrences of subsidy fraud.
3. Reasonable fee reduction and tax reduction to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor
People with high incomes pay more taxes and raising the threshold for grassroots taxation is also more effective in narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor. This method may not be a bad thing. But an ordinary worker will have to pay taxes if his annual income is RMB 20,000 to RMB 30,000. When the income of this group of people increases, their consumption can be promoted.
